Eurostar Reviews
About EurostarEurostar is changing the way that people travel between Europe and the UK. With our new Channel Tunnel Rail Link that allows our trains to run at speeds of 186mph we’ve reduced return journey times by up to 40mins! And we’re going to reduce this even further when works are completed on stage 2 of this programme. Eurostar directly links London, Ashford, Paris, Brussels, Lille, Avignon, Calais, Disneyland Resort Paris and the French Alps. You can also reach over 100 more destinations across France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany with Eurostar Connections. Eurostar ReviewThis train was the first in my set and i loved it!!! It was fun to see how fast you can get without making roll of the track around the corner. I reccommend this train to any one. its fun to maintane the train plus the track. Hope you like it to. Eurostar to AvignonTravelling as the guest of Eurostar and Eurostar Holidays recently to their new destination of Avignon, in the heart of Provence, gave me the opportunity to try their food, served to all passengers travelling 1st Class. The journey, some seven hundred miles, takes passengers from Waterloo station to the walled city of Avignon, a cultural capital of Provence, a veritable jewellery collection of Michelin starred restaurants, vineyards and views to simply savour. Eurostar Destination TimesEurostar's service to Paris takes three hours (not including the one-hour time difference) from London Waterloo. Direct services from London and Ashford, Kent are also available to Calais-Fréthun, Lille and Disneyland Paris. Onward links to other destinations by high-speed TGV train are available. The journey to Bordeaux and the Dordogne region from London takes 8 hours total via Paris, 8 hours 50 minutes via Lille; the Loire Valley via Paris 5 hours 20 minutes, via Lille 6 hours; Lyon and the Bourgogne region via Paris, 6 hours, via Lille 5 hours 30 minutes. During the ski season two direct ski train services operate per week, linking London Waterloo and Ashford, Kent with Moutiers-Salins, Aime la Plagne and Bourg St-Maurice in the French Alps. Local coach transfers run to resorts, including Val d'Isère, Les Arcs, Tignes and Méribel. Other TGV connections are available by changing at Lille or Paris and the national rail company SNCF (Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français) runs numerous day and overnight services to the Alps. Full-fare, return ticket prices can be expensive, although prices drop significantly if you stay over a Saturday night. Watch out for regular Eurostar special offers - all will have conditions but prices can be pocket-friendly. |
